Take the revered board game Scrabble, give it a Web 2.0 overhaul and the made it mobile. That's pretty much what Electronic Arts has done with it's latest iteration of the classic. What started as a welcome facebook app has now made its way to the iPhone and iTouch allowing users on either their mobile device or their desktop to compete head to head with one another. However if a little smack talk is needed the chat function is always ready to go between competitors.
There is some slight latency due to connection speeds and facebook's safety protocols but considering the methodical nature of the game it's hardly a glaring issue. There's also the option to play several people at once so if one of your friends needs to take a call you can still spell it out with another pal.
The Meme Connection: Seeing as I'm definitely utilizing facebook here I can't help but be intrigued. Just today I used two facebook apps to help bolster my automated functionality of the meme cycle.
